Product Overview
The XTAUTO Collapsible Portable LED Camping Lantern 4-Pack is a set of lightweight, waterproof rated lanterns that collapse down for travel. Each unit uses six plus one LED chips and works as both a lantern and a flashlight, with solar and USB charging for off grid use.
This review checks the advertised features, build quality, and practical limitations of the lantern set. Because the listing does not provide independent test data, we stick to the manufacturer's feature list and note where specifications are missing.
Score Breakdown
This verdict is based on the manufacturer's stated specifications, the current Amazon listing and its product images, the confirmed materials and design, real buyer ratings, and our research into the product category. Scores are consistent editorial judgments, not laboratory measurements, and we did not receive a paid sample.
Key Features
Six plus one high intensity LEDs provide wide visibility and the lantern works as both a lantern and a flashlight by adjusting how far it is pulled up.
Collapses to about the size of a phone and has a folding handle for hanging on tents or trees.
High quality ABS plastic resists water, heat, and freezing for tough environments.
Built in 1600mAh battery recharges by solar panel or USB cable, with automatic power off protection.
Suitable for camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, night walking, and home emergency lighting.
Design and Build Quality
The lanterns use an ABS plastic body that the listing says is water resistant, heat resistant, and freeze resistant. A collapsible design shrinks each unit to roughly phone size, and a folding handle lets you hang the light from a tent or tree.
The lantern packs a built in 1600mAh battery and automatic power off protection. The white body keeps the design simple, and the four pack gives you enough units to spread around a campsite or home.
Performance in Everyday Use
In lantern mode, the six plus one LED chips spread light in a 360 degree pattern, and pulling the top changes the brightness and focus. In flashlight mode, the same unit provides a directed beam for night walking or finding gear.
A real limitation is that the listing does not state lumen output, beam distance, or an official IP waterproof rating, so you cannot verify exactly how bright or water resistant each lantern is. More than 25 hours of lighting is claimed when fully charged, but that will vary with brightness and charging method.

This review is based on the manufacturer's stated specifications, the current Amazon product listing and its images, the confirmed materials and design, and our own research into camping lanterns as a product category. Our scores are editorial judgments made against consistent criteria, not laboratory measurements, and we did not carry out destructive or long-term stress testing.
Where the listing did not clearly confirm a detail, such as exact dimensions, weight or certifications, we have deliberately left it out rather than guess. If you are buying, always confirm the current specification and price on the live Amazon listing, since configurations and availability change.
