Where our information comes from

We base each review on the manufacturer's stated specifications, the current retailer listing and its product images, the confirmed materials and design, and our own research into the product category. Our scores are consistent editorial judgments, not laboratory measurements.

Our honesty rules

• We never invent specifications. If a detail such as exact dimensions, weight or a safety rating is not confirmed, we leave it out.
• We do not claim hands on lab testing that we did not perform.
• Affiliate relationships never influence a score or a verdict.
• We show clear pros and cons, including the weaknesses, for every product.
