Product Overview
HAYLOU builds the S40 around 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation, stated to reduce up to 95 percent of ambient noise such as airplane and car engines or subway trains, with adaptive ANC technology that automatically adjusts cancellation depth to the surrounding environment. This hybrid approach pairs multiple ANC sources rather than relying on a single fixed cancellation level.
Audio comes through 40mm plus 20mm titanium-plated diaphragm dual drivers, certified for Hi-Res Audio and supporting LDAC technology once activated in the Haylou Sound app, which HAYLOU states gives lossless music reproduction with fine detail. Bluetooth 6.0 handles the wireless connection, paired with 6 total microphones, 5 built-in plus 1 detachable, using AI algorithms to isolate voice and suppress background noise during calls.
Battery life is rated up to 90 hours of playtime, or 60 hours with ANC enabled, with a 10 minute quick charge adding roughly 5 more hours. A USB-C wired connection is supported for when the battery runs out, though HAYLOU notes the headphones should not be used while actively charging.
